The Department

The London HR department consists of 12 HR professionals – which spans graduate recruitment and development, lateral recruitment and generalist HR.  The team is responsible for all employee relations matters, providing advice and support to ensure that performance management is carried out in a timely and appropriate manner.

The Role

This role will sit on the Inclusion Committee and help the Inclusion Leads shape and implement the I&D strategy for the London Office. It will also form a key part of the team responsible for delivering against our ESG Framework.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a lead member of the London Office Inclusion Committee. Working with the Committee to set and implement the I&D strategy for the year and advise management on strategic I&D priorities.
  • Sit on each of the I&D Steering Groups and assist them in devising action plans and SMART targets to measure progress. Facilitate a flow of communication between the various I&D groups and the Inclusion Committee.
  • Support delivery of the Inclusion objectives within our strategic London Office ESG Framework.
  • Interface with the Director of Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the wider I&D team in New York to ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing between the teams.
  • Involvement in/take the lead on ad hoc I&D projects such as our focus on career development and increasing diversity within our senior leadership teams.
  • Network with other industry professionals and share best practice and new ideas.
  • Build and manage a set of Diversity data that can be shared with clients and for internal reporting and external benchmarking purposes.
  • Management of calculations and creation of annual gender pay gap report as well as supporting statements and internal communications.
  • Manage of all relevant I&D submissions such as Stonewall and make recommendations for future submissions
  • Manage relationships with external I&D organisations/affiliations and make annual recommendations to the I&D Committee about future memberships/sponsorships.
  • Collaborate with the Affinity Groups, Marketing & BD and Front of House teams to help publish and manage the I&D events calendar and promote the Affinity Groups brand internally and with clients.
  • Work closely with the rest of the HR Team to ensure Policies and Processes are reflective of current legislation and supportive of a culture of Inclusion.
  • Work closely with the HR and CSR and Pro Bono Teams to regularly review induction to ensure we are reaching out to new joiners and encouraging their involvement in I&D from an early stage.
  • Work closely with our Recruitment and Graduate Recruitment Teams to ensure we have a best practice approach to recruiting diverse talent.
  • Work closely with Marketing & BD and CSR & Pro Bono teams to identify opportunities to collaborate and share ideas with clients around I&D.
  • Responsible for the content of the I&D Weil Portal page ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible for employees
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and effectively manage conflicting priorities
Person Specification
  • Previous experience within Diversity and Inclusion, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • High levels of organisation and self-motivation.
  • Highly collaborative and demonstrates strong relationship building skills.
  • Client centric and commercial approach.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills.
  • Degree level qualified or equivalent experience. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and effectively manage conflicting priorities
